Gluten Free and Casein Free Diet If you are familiar with Naltrexone then you know that Doctor’s give the drug to patient’s who have had too much Morphine or to drug addicts who OD on Morphine to "wake them up". Gluteo-Morphin is a peptide sequence that is found in wheat, barley, oats, and whey called Gluten while Casomorphin is a peptide sequence that is found in whey protein called Casein, and which combined can be addictive to humans and cause an opiate (morphine) effect. LDN (Low Dose Naltrexone) is a medication that has been proven to help the immune system and block out the opiate effect from undigested foods when given in small doses. 1/4ML each night after the child falls asleep is the average dose for ASD kids and usually has a side effect of helping them sleep through the night. Sasha went from sleeping 2-3 hours each night to 11 hours each night.

Can our children be "high" from Gluten and Casein? If gluteomorphin and casomorphin are in our children from the foods that they eat then it is possible that they are not doing well in therapy because they are distracted by the effects of the foods. Many children have extremely high pain tolerances and do not cry when they bang their head against the wall or run into a door. It is possible that the "morphine" effect from the food they eat could play a role in not letting them feel pain and stealing their attention span to prevent them from learning when parents spend thousands of dollars on therapy a year. |
